Andrew Cockerill

Andrew joined Cave’s in 1987 as a trainee stockbroker and worked through a variety of roles in both the front and back office before being appointed to the board in 1992. He became the firm’s Chief Executive and Chairman in 2003.

As well as heading the Board of Directors, Andrew also holds the role of Chief Investment Officer leading the Investment Committee which oversees the formation of Cave's 'house-view' and overall investment strategy. Andrew manages funds, mostly on a discretionary basis, for private clients, Trusts and Charities. He is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment.

Stephen Willerton

Stephen joined Cave & Sons in 2006, after working for the investment management arm of a national firm of chartered accountants for over 8 years. He manages portfolios on a discretionary and advisory basis for private clients, pension funds, Trusts and Charities, as well as providing general advice and stockbroking services to clients.

Stephen is an individually Chartered member of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment, holding the Private Client Investment Advice and Management qualification and is also a member of the firm’s Investment Committee, where he contributes to the firm’s ‘house view’ and overall investment strategy.

Peter Brydon

Peter joined Caves in 2002, moving from a national financial services firm and has over 20 years’ experience in the industry. Peter provides advice on pensions, retirement planning, Inheritance Tax mitigation and all aspects of investment advice, along with managing portfolios.

Peter is also a member of the firm’s investment committee, where he contributes to the firm’s ‘house view’ and overall investment strategy.

Peter holds the Diploma in Financial Planning, the Certificate in Financial Planning and Long Term Care, as well as the Advanced Financial Planning Certificate in Pensions.

Amy Rodhouse

Amy joined Cave & Sons in 2010 having previously gained over 5 years experience in the financial services industry. Amy holds the Certificate in Financial Planning and heads up the team of administrators responsible for providing specialised support to the firm’s highly qualified Financial Advisors.

Simon Harvey

Simon joined Caves in 1996 as a qualified stockbroker and was appointed to the Board of Directors in 2003. Simon manages funds on a discretionary and advisory managed basis for private clients, Trusts and Charities as well as providing general advice to clients.

Simon is also a member of the firm’s Investment Committee, where he contributes to the firms 'house view' and overall investment strategy. Simon holds the Investment Management Certificate and has a degree in Economics. In 2009 he was made a fellow of the Chartered Securities Institute.

John Naylor

John NAYLOR BA(Hons) MSc MCSI

Having obtained a degree in Accounting and Economics, John went on to complete an MSc in Economics at Lancaster University. After finishing university, he joined investment bank JPMorgan Chase assisting equity traders working on their London desks. Having joined Cave & Sons in late 2007, John now manages funds on a discretionary and advisory basis for private clients, pension funds and Trusts as well as providing general advice and acting as an execution trader for clients. A member of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment and also the firm’s Investment Committee, John holds the Private Client Investment Advice and Management Certificate.

Gregg Taffs

Gregg joined the Cave's team in 2009 and brings a wealth of experience, having worked in the financial services industry for the last 24 years.

Gregg originally worked for the financial services arm of a major UK bank for 15 years before moving into the independent sector. Gregg is able to advise on all aspects of financial planning for individuals, corporate bodies and charities. Gregg has achieved Chartered Financial Planner status, regarded as the pinnacle qualification within the industry.

Anita Johnson

Anita joined Caves back in 1976 and worked for many years gaining valuable experience in all areas of stockbroking administration. After a break to bring up her family she returned to Caves 16 years ago, and now heads up a very experienced back office team, as office supervisor, overseeing all areas of client trading, settlement and accounts.

Mike Hamborg

Director

Mike started his career in the accountancy profession, specialising in Audit work and was, in fact, Caves' auditor for many years. He joined Caves in 1987, and was appointed to the Board of Directors in 1991. As a senior member of the Board, Mike holds the roles of Finance Director and Head of Compliance and is responsible for liaison with regulators and other outside stakeholders. Mike is a Fellow of the Institute of Financial Accountants.

Paul Murray

Paul MURRAY MCSI

Paul Murray MCSI joined Cave's in 2009 and runs the Leicester office. He began his career with Hill Osborne in 1983 working on the London Stock Exchange floor, before it closed in 1986 when the market moved to electronic, screen-based trading. He has also spent some time working on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange. Paul was the senior dealer for the firm for 15 years and became an associate director when it was taken over by Brewin Dolphin in 2000. Paul became a Member of the Securities Institute in 1994 and in the same year also qualified as a Registered Options Trader. Paul manages funds on a discretionary and advisory managed basis for private clients, pension funds and Trusts.

Daniel Perkins

Daniel joined Caves as a Trainee Investment Manager in 2010 after graduating from university with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics with Business Entrepreneurship. Daniel is currently involved with the investment management team in the Company’s Northampton office, as well as supporting the probate and corporate actions departments.

Lynsey King

Lynsey KING

Probate Manager

Lynsey has been working for Cave's for 18 years, having previously gained valuable experience with a local firm of solicitors. She is now one of the most experienced members of our back office team with valuable experience across a range of functions.

Lynsey now heads up the firm’s busy probate department, providing services to a significant number of professional firms both locally and nationally. She also takes on the role of office manager at the firms Northampton head office.
